COVID-19 Business Recovery and Growth Funding for SME’s

The State Government has recently announced a COVID-19 Business Recovery and Growth round as part of their Local Capability Fund (LCF). The purpose of the COVID-19 Business Recovery and Growth round is to assist Western Australian SMEs that supply to priority industry sectors and whose business operations have been adversely impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic. 

Overview:

  • The level of funding support is 75% of eligible costs up to a maximum of $100,000 (excluding GST) per successful applicant
  • This round is open to Western Australian SMEs, and related industry associations, that supply to the following industry sectors:
    • Energy (oil and gas and renewables) » Mining
    • Civil construction1
    • Defence
    • Marine
    • State and local governments
  • The funding covers a number of activities including:
    • Planning and business advice
    • Improvements to internal business infrastructure / systems
    • Training
    • Plant and equipment
    • Operational costs

The ADAPT by Design Foundations Program falls into the following categories:

  • Planning
    • Strategic and business planning
  • Improvements to internal business infrastructure / systems
    • IT and communication systems
  • Training
    • Up-skilling of employees which leads to improved operational processes
    • Training that is part of the employer’s staff development
